As a matter of fact, your bizarre freak-out last night occurred immediately after I asked you to clarify your comments so that I could respond to them. As I still don’t know what you were talking about, I suspect you are unable to answer my questions or you realize you cannot, and rather than admit this, even to yourself, you are deflecting. Therefore, I will ask again:

Since the Vanguard refused to ban someone who repeatedly attacked and doxed me (back when the VG allowed people to be anonymous, then when they required real names this same person had the gall to complain when he was doxed), I’d say, yes, being banned from that toxic environment is a badge of honor. Not one I earned personally, though — I just left because mosh pits have never been my thing.

Seems to me that the “mosh pit” description is accurate. And (not to be “sexist”), but perhaps that’s a reason that the Vanguard is comparatively “short” on female participants.
Although Al’s Corner has primarily-been a “complaint” column in regard to the Vanguard’s’ moderation practices, one thing it does provide is a place to post comments that the Vanguard’s moderator has refused to post – despite not violating any commenting policy. (While clearly-allowing comments which DO violate policy.)
Also, I’m not going to look up the term “bigot”, but I suspect it’s being misused, here. But it’s simply not interesting-enough (or in any way relevant to topics) to argue about.

The first time I saw that (and even now), I thought that this might not be the most “politically-correct” title, at least.
But I’m not sure why the goal is to “pursue the poor” in the first place. That’s how politically-correct I am, apparently.
In any case, there’s a vast difference between The Davisite, vs. “one corner” of it. But that corner “serves a need”, as there’s not a daily deluge of articles on the Davisite (as there is on another blog – which operates as a business).
Of course, a lot of those articles are, on the other blog, let’s just say – “repetitive”. Or in other words, repetitive.

Speaking of “mosh pit”, Richard McCann’s uncalled-for response is an additional example of that. But again, pointing the finger at McCann ignores the fact that the Vanguard encourages this:

Keep in mind that McCann is someone that the city appointed to a commission, as well. And this is one of McCann’s milder, uncalled-for insults.
What a great representative for Davis – the city and those that appointed him must be proud of the way he thinks and routinely communicates with others whom he doesn’t agree with.
And what a welcoming place Redwood Barn is, at this point. Along with encouragement of open, respectful discussion on that local political blog.
At least no one has called me a bigot, so far. Or has insulted an entire “race” of people – with impunity (in direct response to anything I’ve said, at least).
