Davis Covid Spike Makes National News

Image0 28Ever since the  success of “Healthy Davis Together” right wing anti-vax crowd has been waiting to strike back.

It happen last week when the below Facebook picture from Central Davis made Fox Cable nightly news under the headline “Is A Covid Spike laying low older men?”

Fox of course was reframing a social media post  of where the administration was claiming to have brought down inflation for Christmas.

But then Newsmax ran the photo. Noting it was taken in Davis a 90% democratic  liberal college town, said it uncovered evidence of the secular “War on Christmas” ™. 

CNN hearing story was about “shots”  ran picture of another mass shooting—this one a Christmas day !

Fox picked that angle up, adding it was evidence of just another crime wave — in a Democratic city–  after a home invasion.

One America Network then said it was reported they were “made in China“.  So their commentator conjectured they were clever disguises on spy balloons that were shot down.

    Seems like there’ more than one comedic reference, in regard to the photo.
    I like all of them – especially Santa as a “spy balloon”.
    But you know what I don’t particularly like in the first place? Inflatable Santas, snowmen, etc. (Yard trash.) 🙂
    Electronic reindeer? Not as bad, but I always think of some futuristic hunter with a ray gun, taking them out.
    Of perhaps 20 houses that are decorated for the holidays (in any given town), perhaps one looks “good”. (Usually, someone with enough money to do it correctly.)
    I realize that kids have no “taste” regarding decorations, but Davis doesn’t have any kids in the first place (according to some bloggers).

    I was at the Post Office last week and noticed the headline in the Enterprise in the newspaper rack was “Yolo County Encourages Residents to Mask, Vaccinate”.
    It has been interesting to see all but the most crazy far left of my friends in Davis admit that the crazy far right “anti-vax” crowd was right all along and that masks and the “vaccine” did nothing.
    I know that just slightly more people read the Enterprise today than read the Vanguard, but I bet there will be more people celebrating Kwanza this week than heading out to ger a booster or still be driving alone with a mask on.
    P.S. The Chinese should have sent a Santa’s Sleigh Spy Balloon to the US on Christmas eve knowing that Biden would not want to “Shoot down Santa”…

    China would never send a spy ballon to Davis since most Davis residents called those who called COVID a China Virus xenophobics and denied strongly that the virus came out of a Wuhan lab.
    But one thing is certain, all those deflated Santas will be voting for Democrats in the next election.
