Support Allen

Please join us to support Dr Sheila Allen for Yolo County Supervisor for District 4.

As Supervisor Jim Provenza’s Deputy, she is trained and ready to be his successor. I have been a fan of Jim Provenza since he first took office in 2008. I admire his accomplishments as Yolo County Supervisor and recall he obtained millions of dollars for direct services for children and families, those without housing, and the aged. He has decided not to see re-election for the fifth term to spend time with his family.

Dr. Sheila is the right candidate for us. She is a charismatic leader. She founded and directed the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance, was a founding member of Yolo First 5 and has chaired several other county committees. She’s focused on mental health services funding, housing for young families experiencing homelessness, and much more.

As a Ph.D. in nursing, health and human services are her expertise, she helped nurture and care for our loved ones who were sick in San Francisco and Yolo County. She took care of our neighbors, spouse, siblings, children, colleagues, and friends, which is what governing is all about. Governing simply means managing people. Dr Sheila Allen is the right fit to govern us in Yolo County as our Supervisor.

For these reasons, Politicians and Leaders of Tomorrow Group proudly supports Dr Sheila Allen for Yolo County Supervisor (District 4).

    Does she:
    support males competing against females?
believe a woman/girl can become a man/boy and visa versa?
    support parental rights?
support school transparency in both gender discussions and materials?
support gender studies and DIE over science and a merit based oath to excellence ?
believe teachers self interests override academic studies?
believe the city has an obligation to spend taxpayer money on suppression of free speech?
Asking for those afraid to speak up…

  2. Does a Yolo County Supervisor have a say over any of that? What do the questions you ask have to do with the job of being a Yolo County Supervisor?
I am pretty sure that these things are outside the purview of the Yolo County BOS.

“Asking for those afraid to speak up…”
‘Taxpayer’, as you are using a pseudonym, I queesh that you also are afraid to speak up. You sound like a Beth-O-Phile with your focused rant, but at least BB doesn’t hide behind a screen, despite having her tires slashed. Never would have noticed had you not used the ‘afraid’ word, but you did.
Did you try asking the candidates in a public forum your questions? Like stand up, give your name, ask question. Did you?

Taxpayer – There are 3 candidates in this supervisor race. I would be surprised if any of them have widely varying views on the issues you ask.

    ” . . . support males competing against females?”
Seems to me that we (as a society) are having trouble defining either one, at this point. The question certainly “stumped” the most-recent Supreme Court appointee.
Matt Walsh has made an entire documentary, in which he asked that question. Much of his career is based upon that question (or more accurately, the inability or unwillingness of some to answer it).
And some even attempt to ban the words themselves (e.g., at public libraries). Suffice it to say that they probably don’t have DVDs available at this point of “Two-and-a-Half Men”. (Or probably a whole bunch of book titles with “men” or “women” in the title.)
But yeah, there isn’t going to be much difference in views in regard to the supervisor’s race. (At least, not publicly-stated views.)

By the way, I’ve heard that “Of Mice and They” is a pretty good book.

I would not fear for my personal safety of the safety of my family members if I told a member of the Hells Angles that I don’t like Harley Davidsons (I don’t) but I would fear for my safety and the safety of my family if I told a Davis Public School teacher that I thought adult men should not be playing High School basketball with girls (I don’t).
