ChatGPT Asked to Write a Country Song about the Library Incident

I typed a 150 word description of the library incident into ChatGPT.  I then asked ChatGPT to write a country song about the incident.  With no further prompting, and in about five seconds, this is what ChatGPT wrote:

(Verse 1)
In Davis, California, a sunny town so bright,
Where the Mommas for Liberty gathered, one fateful night,
To discuss the issues that tore their hearts in two,
Trans women in sports, where opinions grew askew.

(Chorus)
In the Davis Public Library, under fluorescent light,
A heated debate began, voices raised in the fight,
But a man named Love stepped in, with library rules in hand,
Said, "No more talk of 'biological men,' it's time to take a stand."

(Verse 2)
The Mommas for Liberty, they didn't understand,
How words could lead to silence in their peaceful land,
Love shut the meeting down, and the tension soared,
As they walked out the door, their voices ignored.

(Repeat Chorus)

(Verse 3)
Then the sun rose high on a brand new day,
But darkness fell upon Davis in a disheartening way,
A bomb threat called in, with words so full of hate,
Toward the LGBTQ+ community, sealing the town's fate.

(Repeat Chorus)

(Verse 4)
This didn't sit well with the town, so tight-knit,
Blame flew left and right, who could commit,
Such acts of hatred, tearing the town apart,
As free speech and trans rights collided, breaking every heart.

(Repeat Chorus)

(Outro)
Now Davis stands divided, where once they were as one,
A battle of ideals, like the setting sun,
May they find a way to heal, and bridge the great divide,
In the land of free speech, where compassion can reside.

I invite any country music artists in town to come up with a melody and set these words to music.

But a man named Love stepped in, with library rules in hand . . .”
Very impressive, though Love didn’t have “library rules in hand”.
Also, how does ChatGPT know if Love identifies as a man?
And shouldn’t the last line be, “. . . where compassion and Love can reside”?

Must we stipulate country music for this? Can’t we do it with proper diction, and less Eeyore?

DDD say: “Must we stipulate country music for this?”
    We must.
“Can’t we do it with proper diction, and less Eeyore?”
    Who you calling “we” ?

Pretty amazingly accurate result for an AI ditty. Except for “Now Davis stands divided, where once they were as one,” which I would question. While the “progressives” like to believe they own the place, there are lots of more centrist and conservative voices around here, even if they are less vocal. It would be a mistake to discount them.

The next line I think needs even more questioning:
“A battle of ideals, like the setting sun,”
¿Could that be the worst metaphor ever?
