Downtown at Raja’s

Raja_sml

As your nose reaches the top most step,

An aroma of Tandoori yumminess

wafts into your hungry self.

A smile may begin to appear

It’s always good to be downtown at Rajas.

You walk past tables on the deck,

filled with happy and content folk

busy enjoying, a lassi perhaps,

mango, please.

The door always feels wide open,

Inside the scent of spices increases.

Warmest of welcomes.

A greeting that makes you feel seen.

Big hearted smiles,

Kindness in eyes.

An overall feeling of good.

Pay next,

then carry on,

plates, cutlery and napkins.

It all begins with rice.

Next chutneys, sauces, salads and more.

Fresh spiced flavors spread ahead.

A little of this and a little of that.

Plates as full as you wish.

Not to waste.

Away you go to a table,

Don’t forget water.

Now sit and enjoy.

Relax your busy self,

Pleasure in vast array of aromatic flavors.

A certain feeling of home,

Though with more ease.

A lovely place a catch a rest and a bite.

Even great if you’re low on the dime.
